International Women’s Day 2024

International Women’s Day Blog

Each year on March 8th, International Women’s Day gives us all the opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements all over the world. Both recently and historically, we acknowledge the efforts of women everywhere to promote empowerment and how their successes have helped us all to grow.

Whilst we can all feel proud when looking back at how women’s perseverance and strength has done so much for us over the centuries, International Women’s Day also serves another very important purpose in reminding us that there is so much more progress to be made and inspiring us all to do more to further our cause.

To this end, each year IWD chooses a specific theme which puts the spotlight on an important issue or trend that we can address. This year’s theme is #InspireInclusion, where the focus is on embracing diversity among women across the globe, creating a community where we can all come together without barriers or stereotypes. We’re striving towards a time when all voices can be heard clearly and opportunities are offered to all, no matter our background.

We believe that all women are equal, from powerful women in politics, celebrities in the social eye to our own mothers and sisters. Regardless of our differences, women all have their own journeys to make, complete with their own obstacles to overcome. For some, these can be harder than others, so we want to do what we can to offer our help to those women who need it most.

That’s why this year we at Dibor have chosen to donate 10% of all sales from Friday 8th to Thursday 14th March to Women’s Aid. The national charity dedicated to eradicating domestic violence and abuse towards women and children, as well as helping to support those who have suffered from it, we think the work they do is so vital to women in the UK and further afield.

Please help us to help this amazing charity, and by doing so, you will have played a very important part in championing women’s rights. All efforts are valued, just as all women deserve to live a life of freedom, happiness and value.
