International Women's Day Charity Event
Earlier this month, our female staff celebrated International Women’s Day by taking part in a group photo which we shared with you. Whilst we had fun getting together to do something a bit different, we also wanted to help the cause as much as we could, so we also let you know that we were planning to donate 10% of sales from Friday 8th to Thursday 14th March to Women’s Aid.
Well, the figures are now in, and we are proud to say that we have a fantastic amount of £741.10 to give to this worthy charity!
International Women’s Day is a time to acknowledge and celebrate women’s achievements throughout the centuries, whether they be in science and education, politics, and business, or even celebrating hard-working family and friends. The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day was #inspireinclusion, reminding us that all milestones are important, all women are important, valued members of our global community, and all voices deserve to be heard.
By doing our bit to help Women’s Aid, we hope to offer support to those women and children who have been or are currently victims of domestic abuse and violence, helping to give them new opportunities in life on a path to happiness and success.
